Honoring your parents is one of those commandments that sounds simple until you actually try to live it out. It’s literally one of the Ten Commandments, which tells you how seriously God takes this.
But here’s what makes it complicated: some of us had amazing parents who sacrificed everything for us, while others grew up in homes marked by pain, absence, or dysfunction.
