Here’s what I’ve learned: the people who make the biggest impact are rarely the most naturally gifted. They’re the ones who stayed consistent when others gave up, who kept serving when nobody noticed, and who trusted God through years of obscurity before their breakthrough came.
Job persevered through unimaginable loss. Paul endured beatings, imprisonments, and shipwrecks. Jesus Himself endured the cross for the joy set before Him.
If you want to finish your race well, stop looking for shortcuts and start building endurance. Faithfulness over time beats talent with no staying power every single time.
Say This Prayer
Heavenly Father, give me the endurance I need to finish the race You’ve set before me. Help me to stop chasing quick results and instant success, and teach me to value faithfulness and perseverance above everything else.
When I’m tempted to quit because progress feels slow or results seem delayed, remind me that You reward those who don’t give up.
Strengthen me during the hard seasons when nobody’s watching and encouragement is scarce. Help me to keep doing what’s right even when I don’t see immediate fruit, trusting that You see everything and will bring the harvest at the right time.
